If you like winter, skiing, or winter sports you probably like snow. If you like snow, you've come to the right site! If you owned a large or small ski resort, you need to have snowmachines, right? Yes. Because without snowmachines you wouldn't have a good base depth. If you need more snow, get the snowmachines crackin' and make mybe 10,15 inches or so of snow. We all know that they can't make snow above 32 degrees. First we must have the important ingrediants to make and produce snow:
#01. Water pressure. You must have at least 50 p.s.i or higher to make snow.
#02. Air pressure. Must have at least 90 p.s.i or higher.
#03. Temperatures must be below 28 degrees.
#04. The humidity has to be low. If the humidity says 60% and the temperature was 25 degrees, it probably would not make snow due to the humidity even though the temperature is below 28 degrees. If you have all these ingrediants, you can make it! You're probably wonderin' how can you make REAL snow at home? We'll get there. When I started making snow at home, I was really amazed. I chat with other people or snowmakers that make snow. So, I'm not the only one that makes snow. I got the idea off of another snowmaker, and thats when I made my snow and my gun. The first time I got the idea was when I was 12 years old. I was skiing and I saw a snowmachine cranckin up. I realized or guessed that it was a mist that the machine was throwing out. I knew it could'nt be that easy. So when I got home I ran the garden hose up to my gutter which is about 13 feet high. I twisted the nozzle till a very fine mist came out. I turned it on. Remember the temperature was 15 degrees when I done this. So I turned it on and watched it. We'll guess what, it did not make snow. It made ice on the grass. Ice is definately not snow. I kept tinkering about how I could make it. But one day, I found out what I needed and used to make snow. This was the day it worked.
Now, I will tell you how to make snow at your own backyard:
THE FIRST THING YOU NEED IS AN AIR COMPRESSOR. REMEMBER YOU NEED AIR TO MAKE SNOW. GET AN AIR COMPRESSOR THAT PRODUCES OVER 90 POUNDS OF AIR. IF YOU HAVE ONE BUT IT DOES NOT PRODUCE 90 POUNDS, IT PROBABLY WON'T WORK. THEY RUN BETWEEN $0150.00 THRU $0300.00
THE NEXT THING YOU NEED IS A WATER SOURCE. YOU MUST HAVE WATER!
YOU MUST BUY ADAPTERS FOR THE AIR COMPRESSOR HOSE. AND FOR A GARDEN HOSE.
YOU CAN BUY THEM AT ANY HARDWARE STORE.
AND YOU NEED A GUN. THIS IS WHERE THE AIR AND WATER COMES OUT. ( OPTIONAL )
THE REASON I PUT OPTIONAL IS BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE A GUN.
AND I ALMOST FORGOT, YOU MUST HAVE A "Y" SPLITTER. THIS IS WHEN THE AIR GOES IN ONE SIDE OF THE "Y" AND THE WATER GOING THROUGH THE OTHER SIDE OF THE "Y". WHEN THE AIR AND WATER CLASH, THE AIR BLOWS THE WATER INTO VERY VERY SMALL WATER DROPLETS. THEN THE WATER IS ATOMIZED AND COMES OUT OF THE GUN AS SNOW. NOT ICE.
WHY MAKE A GUN? HERES MY SNOW MACHINE: MY SNOWMACHINE HAS AN AIR COMPRESSOR. I USE A 1300 P.S.I PRESSURE WASHER. AND THE GUN IS INCLUDED WITH THE PRESSURE WASHER, AND THE "Y" SPLITTER. BUT THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT THIS IS YOU HAVE TO BUY AN AIR COMPRESSOR AND A PRESSURE WASHER. THAT'S IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE. IF YOU HAVE BOTH OF THESE AND THE "Y", JUST BUY THE ADAPTERS AND YOU'RE SET!
OR, JUST BUILD A GUN OR USE YOU'RE GARDEN NOZZLE TO BUILD. BUT THE FACT IS: THE PRESSURE WASHER WORKS THE BEST. THE PRESSURE WASHER I BOUGHT COSTED
$099.97. SO THE TOTAL COST IS:
AIR COMPRESSOR= $0159.97 + $099.97=
AROUND $257.00.
